Our With... Chocolate Real Hot Chocolate went down so well at Burghley House Fine Food Fair, I promised I would put the recipe onto our site for you to make at home, so here it is:
With... Chocolate's 44% Venezuelan milk chocolate buttons need to be purchased.
To make the full bag, pour into a saucepan 250g of milk. Allow the milk to warm up until steaming but do not let it boil.
Once the milk is steaming, keep on a low heat, add all the buttons and stir.
Keep stirring until the chocolate has completely melted. It will take longer than expected to achieve a truly smooth Real Hot Chocolate, so keep going for at least 10 minutes.
Serve the Real Hot Chocolate in espresso cups with mini marshmallows.
A little more milk can be added to thin the Real Hot Chocolate if required. Keep adding the milk until satisfied.
If just one cup is required, heat a small cup of milk in the microwave until hot. If it boils, just allow the milk to cool before adding the chocolate. Add a small amount of buttons and stir until fully melted. Either add more buttons or more milk to taste. If the Real Hot Chocolate cools too much whilst doing this, pop it back in the microwave for a short while but do not allow it to boil. Add marshmallows and enjoy.
